Learning, designed with people in mind.
Founded in 2014, The Learning Avenue is a sibling-owned learning design studio, now led by Sanam Madhav. Between us, we bring over 20 years of experience in learning design and people development which is shaped by curiosity, care, and a genuine love for creating learning that works.
Based in South Africa, with a global reach, we partner with L&D, HR, and People Development teams to design learning that feels intuitive, relevant, and human — especially in a world increasingly shaped by AI.
Our approach blends learning science, creative design, and the ethical use of AI to create learning experiences that tell a clear story, support meaningful outcomes, and fit into the reality of people’s work. We focus on designing programmes that people actually engage with and that lead to real behaviour change.
Beyond our client work, we’re committed to contributing to something bigger. As a Level 1 BBBEE contributor, we actively support South Africa’s transformation goals and believe in learning as a powerful tool for inclusion, empowerment, and sustainable growth.
Our Process
At The Learning Avenue, we understand learning theories and design principles, and as much as we love ADDIE, we believe in working with you to design the right solution. The right solution may look different from one client to the next, however, we follow a framework that has proven success:
Every project begins with deep discovery. We explore your business context, people challenges, learning culture, and existing ecosystem. Through conversations, audits, and analysis we get clear on what’s working, what’s not, what meaningful change looks like and what behavioural impact is needed.

Scope:

Once we’re aligned on the direction, we move into creative design. This is where human-centered learning meets storytelling, UX, and behavioural science. We conceptualize solutions, prototype quickly, and gather feedback early.
